چکیده
در دهة اخیر حجم قابل توجهی از کتابها و مقالههای علمی در ایران در شاخههای مختلف دانش جغرافیا انتشار یافته است. اغلب این نوشتهها به مسایل خاصی پرداختهاند، هرچند به ندرت حاوی مطلبی دربارة شرح و تبیین انواع مفاهیم و اصطلاحات این رشته بودهاند. افزون بر این، مفاهیمی که به کار رفتهاند، کمتر از لحاظ معنایی بهدرستی در تناسب با مباحث و در مواردی حتی نادرست و گمراهکننده بودهاند؛ این نکته بهویژه در مورد خطاهای وارد شده از راه ترجمة این مفاهیم به فارسی صادق است. علاوه بر این، آنچه در این نوشتهها بیش از هرچیز مورد غفلت واقع شده، گرایشها و رویکردهای نوین در جغرافیا، بویژه مباحث فضایی و نظریههای برنامهریزی بوده است. در مقابل، آنچه بیشتر مورد عنایت بوده، مقالههای مبتنی بر مطالعات موردی دانشجویان در قالب پایاننامههای تحصیلی بوده است. در نتیجه، نوعی ابهام در تبیین و کاربرد مفاهیم بنیادین و افزون بر آن، سردرگمی دانشجویان این رشته پدید آمده است. هدف اصلی از این مقاله کوشش در راه شرح و تبیین مفاهیم کلیدیِ مطرح در مباحث مربوط به فضا و برنامهریزی فضایی در چارچوب جغرافیای کاربردی است.
