Due to its natural, human and cultural attractions, Fouman County has always been attracted to domestic and foreign tourists. The expansion of tourism flows in the county, combined with the lack of efficient planning and management, has resulted in different positive and negative economic, physical and environmental effects. The present article aims to determine the physical damage caused by tourism in the physical sector with the aim of proper planning in the sensitive and fragile rural environment of this county and to provide an appropriate solution to reduce these damages. The type of research is applied, the method used is descriptive-analytical and the data was collected using documentary sources, field studies and the opinions of local managers.
The sample population is 120 villages out of a total of 171 villages in Fouman County. The results show that the known physical damages that have been directly or indirectly affected by tourism activities fall into three general groups: land use change, ownership change and the formation of non-native ownership, the growth of second homes and disruption in the housing pattern. According to the findings, solutions including implementing tourism development control policies, improving existing networks, focusing on communication routes, preparing an area planning plan, and organizing, managing, and monitoring tourism-related activities have been suggested
