Tourism is recognized as a significant source of income and a crucial factor in the development of nations. Ecotourism lodges play a pivotal role in tourism development and sustainable rural development. Therefore, understanding the inhibiting and facilitating factors in the development of these lodges is essential. This research aims to identify and explain the inhibiting and facilitating factors in the development of ecotourism lodges from the perspective of experts in the villages of Ardabil Township (specifically, Vakilabad and Sham Asbi villages). This study employed a mixed-methods approach, utilizing a sequential exploratory design conducted in two phases, qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative phase, the range of variables and key indicators were identified through a scoping review. Subsequently, in the quantitative phase, a survey method using questionnaires was administered to a sample of 100 professionals, experts in ecotourism lodges, and local managers from the selected villages. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were assessed using Cronbach's alpha, which yielded a value of 0.937, indicating an acceptable level of reliability. Structural equation modeling (SEM) in Smart PLS3 software was used for data analysis. The findings revealed that economic factors (effect coefficient 0.817) and socio-cultural factors (effect coefficient 0.802) were significant inhibiting factors, while socio-cultural factors (effect coefficient 0.904) and economic factors (effect coefficient 0.816) were significant facilitating factors for the development of ecotourism lodges in the studied areas.

Sustainable tourism development planning based on the existing potentials in any region of the country is an obvious necessity. Considering the adoption of a government development approach to Semnan province in recent years, this province can be considered as a good case to study. The east of the province, despite its high potential for tourism development as well as its geographical area, has received less attention. The purpose of this study is to identify the most important sustainable tourism projects in the east of Semnan province. For this purpose, applied, descriptive (non-experimental) and combined (qualitative-quantitative) research can be pursued. First, a focus group (qualitative method) consisting of 12 experts including officials, university professors and local people was used to identify the projects. After that, 30 output projects were ranked according to the degree of compliance with the criteria of sustainable development and the goals defined in the upstream documents using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) (quantitative method). According to the ranking, training the local people of the region, providing the necessary infrastructure in the sample areas and target villages, and determining appropriate marketing methods and preparing an advertising plan for tourism development in the region are of priority.

The Eco-village is a model for promoting sustainable living by removing environmental, social and economic destabilization through the implementation of sustainable structures and practices in rural areas. The main purpose of the present study is to evaluate the status of key indicators of eco-village pattern in tourist villages on the margins of Choghakhor wetland. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and is descriptive-analytic in nature. A researcher-made questionnaire with a reliability of 0.89 was used to evaluate the key indices of eco-village in the studied touristy villages. The statistical population of the study consisted of all local residents and tourists present in Choghakhor. The sample size in this study was 311 persons estimated according to Cochran formula with error of 0.05. The results show that the studied villages are not in desirable condition in terms of all three dimensions of eco-village, because the mean value of the results is just 2.76. The results also show that the natural dimension indices of eco-village pattern are better than other dimensions and indices in the studied villages. Socio-economic indices are in the following ranks. Therefore, the following three solutions can be offered: 1- Efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment, 2- Supporting useful and early plans for environmental efficiency, and 3- Incorporation of ecovillage projects as national plans by local and regional authorities.

The statistical sample is rural settlements of Rezvanshahr. The analysis of built environment in rural areas was done using remote sensing data. GIS and the maximum probability with two user's algorithm were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that intensity of rural tourism effects in Rezvanshahr county is different according to various spatial units. Therefore, the physical effects of rural tourism (such as second homes, service units, land use changes, and land prices) in coastal areas are more intensive than those in plains and foothills areas.

The research has been done to plan the sustainable development of tourism with emphasis on ecological residences in Hanza region. This research is a practical study with a descriptive- analytic approach. The studied population consists of two groups of tourists and experts. All the population of experts has been studied due to its small size. While the population of tourists due to the uncertainty of the size and the minimum sample size for surveys, 120 tourists were selected from March 2015. Cronbach's alpha value for ensurence index were calculated for the tourists 0/81 and 0/89 for the Group of Experts. Data were analyzed in the softwares of SPSS and Excel with using one-sample T-test, Friedman test and SWOT model. One-sample T-test results showed that the satisfaction of tourists from facilities with average 1/55 and satisfaction in terms of the tourism potential was above average 14/17. Results of Friedman test that used to prioritize residences in Hanza region showed that the most appropriate option for tourists to stay are ecological residences.
