The issue of quality of urban life was one of the first areas of study that, along with urban growth and its problems, gradually came to the attention of urban experts in the 1930s. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of life in the inner neighborhoods of Semnan city and to prioritize them. Accordingly, two categories of objective and subjective indicators for assessing the quality of life were evaluated. Objective indicators include land price, access to urban centers, income and household size, average unit area, access to green space, access to public transportation, and construction quality. The subjective indicators include criteria such as security, sense of belonging to the neighborhood, water quality, social relations and attractiveness of the neighborhood. Entropy method was used to determine the weight and significance of each indicator. Finally, TOPSIS method was used to prioritize the neighborhoods. Given that the assessments obtained from measuring the subjective and objective dimensions of quality of life may not match the current situation in the neighborhoods of Semnan, the opinions of urban planning experts of the municipality of Semnan as well as owners of real estate agencies were used in the form of a questionnaire. The obtained results were comparatively compared using two methods. The values obtained from this comparison showed that in 17 neighborhoods out of the 28 inner neighborhoods of the city, the expert opinions matched the findings of TOPSIS method, while in the other neighborhoods no significant difference was observed among the findings.

The research method is descriptive-analytical, the statistics and information of which have been collected through field methods. The statistical population was the citizens of Koche Biuck neighborhood of Yazd. Using Cochran's formula, 358 people were selected as a sample by stratified random sampling method. Inferential statistics including (1 sample t-test, LISREL model, Pearson correlation coefficient and chi-square homogeneity test) were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the statistical population not only has a good level of information and communication technology, but also 78.1% of them rated the use of ICT services in the performance of common citizenship affairs, moderate to high. Inferential results also showed that the impact of ICT on quality indicators of urban housing and quality of life of citizens in the neighborhood of Koche Biuck is at a strong level, with a confidence level of 99%, it means that these variables have a significant and direct relationship with each other.

Housing is one of the main concerns of governments in countries all over the world. In Iran, after the increasing pace of population growth, various policies were implemented to provide housing. One of the policies implemented in the second half of the 2000s was the Mehr Comprehensive Housing Plan. The purpose of Mehr project was to provide low-income groups with fast, cheap and high-quality housing. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the quality of life in order to measure the success rate of one of the major projects in Mehr housing neighborhood of Shahinshahr. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature. The data were obtained in two ways: library (to formulate theoretical foundations) and field (to study the quality of life in the neighborhood). The statistical population of the study is the residents of Mehr Shahinshahr housing neighborhood with a population of 6400 households. The sample size, estimated by Cochran's method, is equivalent to 400 heads of households. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis and Chi-square test were used to analyze the 40 indicators. The results showed that the average of five indicators was higher than the average of satisfaction. These indicators include: 1- Access to public transportation, 2- Access to water, electricity and gas facilities, 3- Access to heating and cooling facilities inside the complex, 4- Management of the complex and 5- Access to parking. The average satisfaction of other studied indicators (87.5% of the indicators) was less than 3, which indicates the strong dissatisfaction of the residents of Mehr Shahinshahr housing neighborhood with the quality of life in this neighborhood.

Renovation projects are among the most important tools for interferencing the organization of developmental activities and the physical expansion of villages which result in the improvement of living conditions in rural areas. Such projects provide grounds for a series of public services. They facilitate communication, life flow, and organization of construction activities in villages. They have preserved rural life and have improved the life quality in rural areas. The aim of the present study was to analyze the effects of physical renewation on the quality of rural life in villages of Torghabeh and Shandiz (Binaloud county). The research method was descriptive-analytical and based on nature it was an applicable research. Documentary and field methods were used for data collection. The statistical population of this research included 10 villages in which physical renovation projects were conducted. Also, 131 out of 3724 households were selected as a sample for the present study. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated for determining the reliability of the questionnaire. It was equaled to 0.812 for all indicators which confirmed the suitability of the research tool. Descriptive statistics (standard deviation, mean and coefficient of variation) and inferential statistics (single sample and analysis of variance) were used for data analysis. Vikor model was applied for classification of villages based on their life quality indexes. The results of one-sample t-test showed that among the indicators, employment and activity status with an average of (3.702), credit attraction and cost reduction (3.44), reduction of environmental changes (3.33) and preservation of architectural style (3.26) have had the most impacts on the life quality of the studied villages, respectively. Also, the Vikor model showed that the village of Dehbar (0.68) placed at the highest level of ranking, and the villages of Dehno (0.98) and Nagorno (0.97) possessed the lowest rank of the rate of renoation effects on the life quality improvements at the studied villages.
